Important Update for Mutual Fund Investors: Ensure PAN Details Match KYC Information

May 8, 2024 . FundsIndia Desk

Recent regulatory changes require stricter alignment between investor KYC (Know Your Customer) details and mutual fund folio information. While there is no immediate disruption to existing investments, a mismatch between your PAN card (Permanent Account Number) and mutual fund folio details could impact future transactions.

Here’s a breakdown of the key points:

  • Existing Investments: Rest assured, your current mutual fund investments will not be affected by a name or date of birth (DoB) mismatch between your PAN and folio.
  • Investing in New Fund Houses: If you plan to invest with a new mutual fund company, a mismatch in KYC details might prevent your transactions from being processed.
