Mutual Funds (MFs) made investments worth Rs 545.30 crore and sold off Rs 826.70 crore worth of equities on January 27, 2012, according to data released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Thus, MFs stood as net sellers of Rs 281.40 crore in equities on that day.
In the month of January, MFs have made total investments of Rs 9283.30 crore and sold off Rs 10899.30 crore worth of equities, so far.
In the debt segment, MFs made investments of Rs 2922.10 crore and sold off Rs 4277.60 crore on January 27, 2012 as per the details available with SEBI. Thus MFs stood as sellers of Rs 1355.50 crore on that day.
Further, MFs have poured in total Rs 85647.40 crore and have taken out Rs 73901.90 crore in debt market for the month of January, so far.
