The short-term outlook remains bearish until the index moves past the recent swing high of 6,135.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundsindia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Nifty-15mins.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2758\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fundsindia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Nifty-15mins.png\" alt=\"Nifty 15mins\" width=\"1340\" height=\"586\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fundsindia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Nifty-15mins.png 1340w, https:\/\/www.fundsindia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Nifty-15mins-300x131.png 300w, https:\/\/www.fundsindia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Nifty-15mins-1024x447.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1340px) 100vw, 1340px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The stop loss for short positions in the Nifty must be placed above this swing high at 6,135.\u00a0From a trading perspective, there are a lot of options \u00a0to \u00a0consider, depending on the risk profile and the trading time-frame.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A long position with a stop loss at 5,850 and target of 6,050 is a low-risk and low-probability trade idea.<\/li>\n<li>Taking short \u00a0positions on a fall below 5,850, with a stop loss at 5,940 and target of 5,650 is another option.<\/li>\n<li>A \u00a0pull back to 6,050 or beyond would present shorting opportunities with a stop loss at 6,150 and target of 5,650.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The third strategy outlined above is our preferred one. Whether the Nifty can pull back to these levels and present a shorting opportunity is the moot question.
