What are Equity Mutual funds?<\/p>\n

Investopedia defined Equity Mutual funds as \u2018A mutual fund that invests principally in\u00a0stocks. It can be actively\u00a0or passively (index fund) managed.\u2019<\/p>\n

Stock mutual funds are\u00a0principally categorized\u00a0according to company size, the\u00a0investment style of the holdings in the portfolio and geography: Size is determined by a company’s market capitalization, while the investment style, reflected in\u00a0the fund’s stock holdings, is also\u00a0used to categorize equity mutual funds.<\/p>\n

Stock funds are also categorized by\u00a0whether they are domestic (India) or international.\u00a0These can be broad market, regional or\u00a0single-country funds.<\/p>\n
