    1. We have started with an android app as android phones drive the majority of mobile traffic to our sites. We are actively monitoring the traffic and when we have the critical mass of traffic from iOS, we will build app for the same.

      1. Hello fundsindia,

Thanks for an update on android, but we are handicapped just because it’s not on iOS.
Please requesting you it will be great if you launch on iOS ASAP..
It will be not good idea to buy android phone just for app.. So that money we can invest in fundsindia..

        1. Hi, Kakasaheb!
Thank you for your interest in FundsIndia’s mobile app. We are happy to tell you that we’re working on developing an app for all our iPhone users. We’ll notify you as soon as it is set for its launch. Thanks!

        1. Hi, Puneet! Yes, we will be launching an iOS app real soon. Our team is currently working on it and we should be ready for a beta run in the next couple of months. We will keep you posted on this. Thanks!

    2. Hi,

How can i buy stocks from the app itself i tried to search for the stocks and buy it but i didn’t find any option to buy the new stocks in the application. Can you please help me to fetch this option or update the application accordingly.

Also i can’t buy NSE stocks only BSE stocks are available with FundsIndia why? Don’t you have license for NSE yet.

And, the dashboard in the website itself is not getting updated immediately after i buy a stock from the market it takes minimum 7 days to update the stocks in the Stock dashboard till then website says Pending delivery. Can you please make the process faster so that it will be efficient from the customer perspective.

Also, for the business growth i strongly recommend..can you please update the toll free contact number customer support during the working hours or days. Most of the time IVR application should take care of many things with added security to it like banks IVR system.

      Waiting for you reply soon…..

      Thank you.

      1. Thanks Rohit and we really appreciate your feedback.

        1. Regarding buying stocks, we do not have this feature in the application yet. We are working towards enabling transactional features in the app and you should have that shortly.
        2. You are right. We are currently registered only with BSE and not with NSE.
        3. Shares bought will become available in the dashboard in T+2 business days. This is the time required for the settlement and we are constrained by that to update the dashboard.
        4. We do have a customer support number (+91 7667166166) for our customers to reach us during working hours. However, we understand that investors are unable to resolve issues outside of office hours. As we grow our business, we will definitely look to address this either through IVR or through customer support executives.

  1. Hello,
I was eagerly waiting for this application. The application looks good but i don’t see my all folios in the application.
I tried twice installing this application but still i see only 4 Folios and not all.
    Please help me with this.

    1. Thanks Mr. Poojary for using our app. We have looked at similar complaints and we think we have fixed the issue in our latest version(1.0.1). Can you kindly upgrade your app and see if you are still having this issue?

      1. Hello,
As per your suggestion i did upgraded to new version and now i can see 6 folios but not all…lol
        Please suggest me.
        Regards,
        Udaya Poojary

  2. It looks like the app is published only for phones. Hope it will be soon enabled for tablets as well. I don’t have an android phone but only tablet. Eagerly waiting for an update which will enable to be downloaded on a tab as well.
    Thanks!

    1. Mr. Balaji,

The app is not optimized for tabs but it should work for tabs. If you can give me the details of your tab including the model, OS it is running and whether it can make calls, I can check whether it is supported.

      1. My device is Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 P6010 Tablet, and FundsIndia app is not compatible with it.
        Kindly check

        Thanks

  3. I have already submitted my feedback to your team regarding some issues.

One suggestion is hold authentication information in the app so that I don’t have to enter credentials every time I launch it.
For example Facebook and Gmail apps don’t require authentication every time I use them.
A smartphone can be considered a personal and hence protected device so repeated authentication is cumbersome.

    1. Thanks Mr. Vaibhav for your feedback.

This was something we had debated internally before we agreed to ask for password everytime. However, the feedback we have got from our customers is that they find this to be an impediment. We will revisit this in our next version.

  4. Very good first impression. Hope the future releases are also delightful. Just one point, more of a use case than technical. Why are you logging out the user without explicit log-out click. Phone is a very personal device and the apps are rarely used by multiple people on a single device. Moreover, even if another person logs in there is not much he can do as there are other authentication. Please think about it.

    1. Thanks Mr. Abhishek Chanda for using our app. I get the point you are making. We are working on the next version of the app and we will revisit the session management based on your feedback.

    1. Mr. Akshay,

The current version does not need any access apart from network location. However, we have plans to roll out features for new users to take a snapshot of cheque and upload the same through the app. Also, we plan to develop features that let you store our numbers easily and initiate calls from our app. Hence we have requested these permissions upfront.

  5. Making an android-only app because traffic is from android, is like saying you won’t allow a minority community to enter your office – discrimination.
Please launch an iOS version. We are your customers and have equal rights to your services.

    1. Mr. Kamal Krishna,

We were only using the traffic to help us decide which to do first and not to decide whether to address a particular platform or not. We do have plans to launch an iOS app and we are working towards it.

  6. sir
i am using iphone plz make app for iphone also i hav invested in MF through fundsindia. so it will be very convenient for me to manage my money thank u very much
    ur customer
    rahulmahajan

    1. Hi Rahul,
Thank you for your interest in the FundsIndia app. Very soon, we will be launching a version of the app that will be compatible with iPhones as well. We will let you know when this is done.

    1. Hi Ajay,
Thank you for your interest in the FundsIndia app. Soon, we will be launching a version of the app that will be compatible with Windows phones. We will let you know when this is done.

  7. Absolutely fantastic.. the wait is over. Hopefully will see more feature rich in upcoming versions. One suggestion for now- Add that extra security layer of PAN/DOB while logging in..

  8. Sir, Just installed your app. Wanted to load the mutual funds i already have, but I’m unable to load it. what should i do?

    1. Sorry for the delayed revert. There is no need to load your funds into the app. The funds will get displayed automatically. In case you are still not able to see your funds in the app, kindly write to contact@fundsindia.com from your registered email id and we will get it looked at on priority.

  9. What are your plans for Windows Phone app? Badly required? Are you open to the idea of providing a read-only API?

    1. Thanks Mr. Piyush for your comment. We do have plans to launch a windows app but it is in the back burner as of now as we focus on the other platforms first.

Regarding the read-only API, we do not have any plans as of now.

    1. Thanks for your comment. The current app does not support FundsIndiaAdvisor clients. We have plans to launch a separate app for FundsIndiaAdvisor clients and we will inform you once the same is ready.

    1. Thanks Karthik for the comment. We understand that our customers are awaiting an iOS app. We have plans for rolling out the same and are in the process of sprucing up our development team with the required skill sets. Once we do that, we should be able to roll out an app in 2-3 months.

  10. I have not tried the app yet – I heard you need to key in the password all the time.

While I admire the direction in which FundsIndia is moving, I am disappointed that I cannot buy stocks listed only on NSE. Now-a-days, chat support team is not available most of the time. Perhaps you have got more customers than you can manage?

Coming back to the topic, does the Android app show the Stocks portfolio or is it only for Mutual Funds?

    1. Thanks for your comment. We apologize for the issue you have raised about chat support. We are working with the corresponding team to understand what happened and how we can rectify it.

We hear your point about stocks listed only on NSE but we are are unable to address it for now.

About the android app, we do show the stocks portfolio as well. Currently, the app requires you to key in password every time but in the next 1-2 weeks, we will be releasing a new version which simplifies the log in process. Please download the updated app once it is available. We look forward to hearing your feedback on the updated version.

      1. Thanks.
I have been using the app after my last post. I am pleased with the app’s current features.
I look forward to the updated version as well.

        Few suggestions:
        1. After logging in, one can see the current value of both mutual funds and stocks. We can also see the gain/ loss with respect to previous day closing. This is good for those who are interested in tracking daily movements.
But long term investors like me, would find it more useful if you show the gain/ loss, with respect to the cost/ invested amount.
        2. Tapping into Mutual Funds, will show me my portfolio. It shows me two things: a.) Current value b.) Gain % with respect to invested value. This is fine.
        3. Tapping into Stocks, will show me summary information on top with Current Value, Cash and some ID’s.
Now, there is no information on how much was the cost/ invested amount overall.
So, current value may be (say Rs. 150,00). There is no gain information nor any information about how much total investment has been made in the Stock market. This is critical information.
Below the summary, we can see each of the stocks in our portfolio.
Now, the boxes contain the symbol, the name of the company, the current value and the gain. I would request you add the cost/ investment amount there as well. The gain/ loss can be represented as % number (the text “Gain/Loss(%)” is redundant. Just the % is enough. There is enough whitespace in each of the boxes (at least in my mobile) to just put the gain/ loss number.

  11. I just saw this thread and was reading comments in the past… It looks like the replies by the fundsindia people have been copied and pasted everytime somebody requests for the app on ios/windows phones.. I don’t feel like they are serious about it.. And so..this comment will get a similar reply..FundsIndia has been saying since September 2014 that they are developing the app for ios/Windows phone. However till date there is no other development..I am forced to choose other popular options like scripbox and Aditya Birla Money. Bye..
    A non-Android user.

    1. Hi, Shlok!
We’re sorry if you feel like all the comments have been copied and pasted. But if you’ve read the entire thread, you will see that we had mentioned the reason as to why we first developed an Android app. Most of our mobile traffic came from Android phones and hence, the Android app. Unlike Android, an app developed for other operating systems requires a specialized mobile development team with the required skill sets. Also, the app itself goes through an immense amount of scrutiny and paperwork, which can be extremely time-consuming. We maintain that to cater to our customers, we will be launching an app for iOS soon. Like our current app, it will allow people to view their investments, and make transactions on the go. And we will announce the launch as soon as the app reaches its beta testing phase. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to you. Thanks!

    2. It’s almost an year but no sign of windows app. Every other financial advisors have windows app except you people.

      1. Hi, Saravanan!

Only an infinitesimal portion of traffic through our mobile app comes via Windows phones. That’s why we’ve put our plans to develop the Windows version of our app on hold. Once we start receiving substantial traffic from this OS, we will initiate our work on developing a version of our app.

        Thanks,

        Team FundsIndia

  19. I’m using Fundsindia’s iOS application. However there is nothing except the summary of existing investments.
Application is not meeting even basic expectation of being able to make transactions.

    1. Hi, Ashwani! Thank you for your feedback. At present, our iOS app allows users to view information pertaining to their investment portfolios, and to make new and additional lump sum investments in mutual funds. More transaction-related features will be added soon, and you’ll find these enabled when you upgrade to the next version of the app. You’ll receive a notification for this very soon.

  23. When i see the snapshot of my mutual funds in the mobile dashboard i see current value and today’s change for all my funds together. I also want to see my total current investment cost in this snapshot. Also when I open the mutual fund snapshot and see the individual portfolio i want to see the current overall investment cost of all funds in my portfolio.
Idea is to know how much overall i invested in mutual funds versus how much is the current value of my overall investment. Same goes for each portfolio. This is not happening in the android app that i am using. Thank you.

    1. Hi Arif,

We’ve already begun work on this. The ‘Invested Amount’ info will be displayed on the Dashboard in the next app release. We’ve also taken note of your other inputs and will see how best to incorporate them. Thank you for your feedback!

        Regards,

    1. We have started with an android app as android phones drive the majority of mobile traffic to our sites. We are actively monitoring the traffic and when we have the critical mass of traffic from windows phones, we will build app for the same.

  35. Good job, waiting for this for so long. Many a congratulations & thanks a lot 🙂 🙂

        Thanks

  39. Team,

Very good initiative. I have download the Apps and its very useful.
    Keep up the good work.
    Lloyd

    1. Mr. Akshay,

The current version does not need any access apart from network location. However, we have plans to roll out features for new users to take a snapshot of cheque and upload the same through the app. Also, we plan to develop features that let you store our numbers easily and initiate calls from our app. Hence we have requested these permissions upfront.

    1. Hi Ajay,
Thank you for your interest in the FundsIndia app. Soon, we will be launching a version of the app that will be compatible with Windows phones. We will let you know when this is done.

  42. Absolutely fantastic.. the wait is over. Hopefully will see more feature rich in upcoming versions. One suggestion for now- Add that extra security layer of PAN/DOB while logging in..

    1. Hello sir, thank you so much for your interest in the app! We are working towards developing our app for other operating systems. We’ll let you know as soon as we are done!

  43. Hi,

FundsIndia App requires Android version 4.0.3 and up. Will it available in android version 2.3.6 in the future ???

    1. Thanks Karthik for the comment. We understand that our customers are awaiting an iOS app. We have plans for rolling out the same and are in the process of sprucing up our development team with the required skill sets. Once we do that, we should be able to roll out an app in 2-3 months.
